Come funziona questo servizio
The sole is one of the parts of men’s dress shoes most subject to wear. As it is constantly in contact with the ground, the original material tends to wear down gradually.
This service involves applying or replacing a protective rubber layer on the sole, without having to completely reconstruct it.
Before starting the repair, we assess the sole’s condition, construction type, and level of wear. If worn rubber is present, it is removed where necessary; the surface is then prepared and leveled before the new material is applied.
The service is available for various types of men’s footwear, including Oxford, Derby, Brogue, Monk strap, loafers, and other classic leather shoes.
We also work on footwear from brands such as Church’s, Santoni, Crockett & Jones, Loake, Barker, Fratelli Rossetti, Velasca, Tod’s, and Ferragamo. Each pair is examined individually, as the construction, sole material, thickness, and degree of wear may require different repair methods.
This service is particularly suitable for shoes used frequently for work or professional activities, as well as for dress shoes intended for weddings, formal ceremonies, job interviews, or other important events.
It is also an excellent solution for new shoes with leather soles when you want to protect them from wear from the outset. However, if the original sole is severely worn or deformed, or requires complete replacement of the sole unit, we may recommend a more extensive resoling and reconstruction service.
