The Meeting of History and Material
We have maintained the original design of the historical shepherds' bag from Gargano, respecting the proportions and spirit of an object born for resilience, reinterpreting it with the quality and passion of yesteryear.

Authentic Thickness (3.5 mm): We have personally selected a thickness of 3.5 mm to offer you the perfect balance between indestructible robustness and comfortable wear. A solid and structured bag, capable of maintaining its iconic shape for decades.

Natural and Semi-Oiled Tanning: The leather is treated with vegetable tannins and fine oils. The semi-oiled finish protects it from the elements and gives it a silky feel, making it naturally resistant to wear.

The Characteristic "Pull-Up": This leather is renowned for its ability to "live" with you. The finish is rich in oils and waxes: when the leather is bent or receives a small mark, the pigments shift, creating lighter and fascinating color variations. If it gets marked, simply massage the leather with the warmth of your fingers: the oils will reposition, and the mark will fade. The bag doesn't age, it acquires character.

How to Make an Investment Last: Caring for Your Caruso Leather
A handmade product since 1984 is not a disposable item. It is a living, breathing material that, if treated with love, will become even more beautiful with the passing of years.
Here are the 3 pillars to keep your bag, backpack, or belt in impeccable condition:
1. Cleaning: Less is More
High-quality leather does not like water or harsh soaps.
- What to do: Use a soft, dry cotton cloth to remove daily dust.
- In case of stains: Never rub vigorously. Use a cloth slightly dampened with lukewarm water and let it air dry away from heat sources (no hairdryers or radiators!).
2. Nourishment: The Secret to Softness
Just like our skin, leather also needs hydration to prevent it from drying out or cracking.
- Shoemaker's tip: Once or twice a year, apply a thin layer of neutral leather cream or mink oil (for more robust products).
- Effect: This step keeps the leather elastic and creates a natural barrier against moisture.
3. Rest and Storage
If you're not using your bag or belt for a while, help them maintain their shape.
- Filling: Insert tissue paper or bubble wrap inside (avoid newspapers, as the ink could stain the lining).
- Environment: Store them in their protective cloth bag, in a cool, dry place.
